CommonFood Inc

CommonFood is 100% volunteer with every dollar donated going towards the purchase and distribution of food. CommonFood began in 2012 as a service project, and in 2018 a 501(c)(3) was formed to better serve the community. Our monthly distribution is currently serving families faced with food insecurity, distributing approximately 14,260 pounds of food each month. In 2024, CommonFood distributed approximately 264,800 pounds of food to families in the Centre County region which includes food that we pick up from local stores and give to various agencies helping others in need. Think We not Me has been generous in supplying us with locally grown produce. We participate in the "Rescue Food" program organized by Feeding America and in doing so during 2024 we picked up approximately 137,600 pounds of food which would have been put into our local landfills.
